About

A free toolkit for people who flip used cars.

MotoIQ is a free set of tools for buying, fixing and reselling used cars. It covers the questions that come up between finding a listing and selling the car: what it is, what is wrong with it, what it costs to fix, and whether the deal still makes money.

Why it exists

Most car research is built for keepers, not flippers.

Car research sites mostly serve someone deciding whether to own a car for years. Reliability scores and five-year ownership costs matter less when the plan is to sell the car in a few weeks.

A flipper needs different answers, fast, often while standing next to the car: what the VIN says, what the repairs will run, what similar cars actually sell for, and the highest price that still leaves a profit.

Those answers usually end up spread across a spreadsheet, a notes app and a dozen browser tabs. MotoIQ puts them in one place, and lets the tools pass numbers to each other so a repair estimate lands straight in the profit math.

How it works

Four rules the tools follow.

  1. 01

    The math comes first

Purchase price, recon, fees, holding cost and resale go in. Net profit, ROI and break-even come out. The tools show their working, so you can check every number.

  2. 02

    Public data, named sources

VIN specs and open recalls come from NHTSA, the US government vehicle safety agency, and are fetched live when you look them up. When a tool uses a third party, the page says which one.

  3. 03

    No account, no paywall

Every tool works without signing up. Saved deals, comps and checklist progress stay in your own browser instead of on a server.

  4. 04

    Estimates, said plainly

Repair costs, timelines and seasonal patterns are general ranges for planning. They are not quotes or guarantees, and the tools say so where it matters.
